{"id":979,"date":"2015-07-30T09:30:00","date_gmt":"2015-07-30T08:30:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/newsmediauk.org\/gmg-reports-20-per-cent-uplift-in-digital-revenues\/"},"modified":"2024-05-03T10:14:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-03T09:14:48","slug":"gmg-reports-20-per-cent-uplift-in-digital-revenues","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/newsmediauk.org\/blog\/2015\/07\/30\/gmg-reports-20-per-cent-uplift-in-digital-revenues\/","title":{"rendered":"GMG Reports 20 Per Cent Uplift in Digital Revenues"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Guardian Media Group has announced a year-on-year rise in digital revenues of 20 per cent.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Announcing its <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/gnm-press-office\/2015\/jul\/30\/guardian-media-group-plc-gmg-today-announces-its-results-for-the-financial-year-ended-29-march-2015\">results for the financial year ending 29 March<\/a>, the publisher said that digital revenues had grown to &pound;82.1 million<\/p>\n<p>The Guardian&rsquo;s year-end online audience reached 127 million monthly unique browsers, up from 102.3 million in March 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Group revenues also rose three per cent to &pound;214.6m &ndash; the third consecutive year of growth.<\/p>\n<p>Neil Berkett, GMG chair, said: &ldquo;These full-year financial results show that the Group is on the right track by increasing revenues and narrowing our underlying operating loss. This is a very creditable performance following the transformation of our balance sheet, which was strengthened significantly by the disposal in 2014 of our stake in Trader Media Group.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>GMG chief executive David Pemsel added: &ldquo;These results give us the confidence to invest further in the world-class journalism, digital innovation and growing international readership which has made the Guardian such a powerful global brand.
