They are calling on readers to donate to UK Youth, Young Minds and the Child Poverty Action Group.<\/p>\n<p>Robbie Williams launched his Christmas single in his hometown newspaper&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.stokesentinel.co.uk\/news\/stoke-on-trent-news\/robbie-williams-takes-out-advert-4718336\">The Stoke Sentinel<\/a>.&nbsp;The advert featured the phrase \u201cCan\u2019t Stop Christmas\u201d and \u201cwhy oh why are we all waiting\u201d accompanied by the initials \u2018RW\u2019.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">So has <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/robbiewilliams?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@robbiewilliams<\/a> just quietly announced the release of his new song <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/cantstopchristmas?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#cantstopchristmas<\/a> with an ad in his hometown paper the Sentinel today? <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/WxXQUKqSRi\">pic.twitter.com\/WxXQUKqSRi<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 StokeonTrentLive (@Sotlive) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Sotlive\/status\/1329465601736237056?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 19, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/all-about\/save-a-kids-christmas\">The Daily Mirror<\/a> are raising funds for Save the Children UK this year, so the charity can buy gifts for vulnerable children and offer Christmas meals to disadvantaged families.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" title=\"Daily Mirror Charity Pic\" src=\"https:\/\/newsmediauk.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/10\/Daily_Mirror_Charity_Pic.png\" alt=\"Daily Mirror Charity Pic\" width=\"697\" height=\"319\"><\/p>\n<p>The East Kilbride News has changed its usual Christmas toy appeal this year due to Covid-19. The first being FareShare, which tackles hunger and food waste in Britain. Their second charity is Sported, which uses the power of sport to help young people to overcome challenges ranging from mental health struggles and disability to exclusion from school, crime, racism and physical inactivity. The third charity is Tusk, which protects endangered species across Africa.<\/p>\n<p>The Portsmouth News are hoping to recruit 100 people for it\u2019s \u2018Christmas Calls\u2019 campaign, which is in partnership with Age UK. The campaign will pair readers up with someone who is facing Christmas Day and the festive season alone. Editors, columnists, cartoonists and journalists spent four hours taking 881 calls, helping to smash last year\u2019s figure of \u00a3101,000.
